We work with local organizations to fund and develop safe homes for girls who have been trafficked into prostitution or were born into a brothel.
In 2011, we began funding the Alingon Home for brothel girls in Khulna, Bangladesh. Now in 2016, Alingon is home to 22 girls who have been removed from local brothels and have a safe place to call home and thrive. We work with Light Bangladesh, the Bangladeshi NGO running Alingon, to plan the future growth of the Alingon Home and have raised sponsors for 20 of the girls at Alingon. Our support of the Alingon Home is the start of our plan to fund and catalyze similar homes for girls around the world, helping to end the exploitation of the poor in brothels and freeing young girls to live their lives to the fullest.
